Our life is like a cup of tea.
At least that's how it seems to me.
It's bold and sweet and tastes the best
when sipped with those you love.
It has to steep to turn out great.
But life, like tea, is worth the wait.
Though if we're honest we'd admit
delays are sometimes hard.
Like fragile China porcelain,
our bodies, marred and chipped by sin,
are delicate and prone to crack
and will eventually break.
But when our lives at last are through
the grace of God, like Super Glue,
will mend the shards that were our cups
and fill us with new life.
It's all because of Calvary
where Innocence, poured out like tea,
emptied Himself of Heaven's Blend
and drank what we deserved.
